The last weekend we rented a car and escaped the city to have a little road trip. I thought it would be a pretty cool idea to drive a Chevy Camaro, just like in the movie Transformers, but in real life... not so much. One word of advice, take a comfy car when you go cruising through the States! Our go-to destination was Napa Valley to hopefully see one of the vineyards up close and personal. On the way there we drove through some cute villages, some touristic, others not. And if you go ‘off road’ sometimes there is an unexpected amazing view waiting for you, and so there was! Further on we arrived in a town called St Helena where we had some lobster rolls (yum!) for lunch in a cute little place called ‘Market’. With our bellies filled we took a real twisty hilly road crossing some vineyards. With an open gate ahead of us we took our chance and arrived at Schweiger Vineyards. The owners were very hospitable and immediately offered us to do a wine tasting. We took a rain check on that, but will certainly do that on our next visit to California!
