TIGNES LE LAC

Today a short update about more recent adventures, because we’ve been on a little road trip for more than two weeks now. First destination was Tignes le Lac, which is surrounded by the ski area L’espace Killy. It was the first time of my life to ever stand on a snowboard and learn how to ride. Not only was this super cool to do (and did I learn how to do it – yay!) but surprisingly I loved being in the snow more than ever – although my usual self highly prefers tropical sun over temperatures below the freezing point.

After some trial and error the first days of the week we could go a little further and pick out the more exciting routes! One of the things that's so fun about snowboarding or skiing is that in some cases you are able to visit other villages easier (and sometimes more quickly) than by car. On a sunny day for example we went to V’al disere and had some drinks there. Most days we ended up in Val Claret, the village next to Tignes le Lac and only a short (and free) bus ride away.

By the end of the week I was so excited that we carried on the initial plan to book another week in the snow. We chose for Aime la Plagne, in the area Paradiski. I even got my own gear so now I can go snowboarding wherever, whenever – happy me!
