Yes, that really is snow! The first few miles through this white, frosty landscape were exciting and beautiful. But at some point this road in National Kaibab Forest stopped and turned into a highway… And after driving for two days in snowstorms and drizzling weather (all the way through New Mexico and Texas) I’ve pretty much had enough. But we made it all the 1600 miles (2600 km) to Houston, where it's - according to Michelle at the reception - also cold, for no reason... It does feel really good to be here, especially given the circumstances. From here we’ll be cruising to New Orleans and Clearwater Beach to finally end our road trip in Miami Beach!
Still, this winter wonderland does make a pretty picture…
