THE PERFECT SUNDAY

Weekends are for relaxing and having fun, so I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday than with friends – hence the perfect day I had yesterday. I drove over to the city to have some quality time with one of my oldest and best friends. We started in one of my favorite spots for brunch, Bar Moustache. I feel really at ease in their beautiful homey interior and what I love most are the large windows, which create such beautiful light. And the best thing is; on sunny days they are always entirely opened – definitely dibs on the seat in the window!

After that we did a little shopping, said hi to another friend and went to ‘rollende keukens’ (which is Dutch for ‘rolling kitchens’). This basically is a festival with food stands everywhere from all types of cultures and cuisines, music and a great vibe. Exactly the place to be; an opinion shared by the rest of the people living in Amsterdam. Though I love spending my Sunday afternoon in the company of others, I’m not the biggest fan of (overly) crowded places. So we took a quick stroll but soon fled to a terrace in another part of the city to have some drinks in the evening sun.

What did you do this weekend?

On a somewhat more personal note; lately I’ve been thinking about the blog and that there aren’t much photos of me or people in general on it – at least not as much as I would like to see if I were reading a blog like this. I love to watch other people – hence that spot in the open window – but I absolutely dislike being in the picture myself. But, I’ll try to blend in more photos like that to make this blog a little more personal, starting today! ☺
